Loaded with plot detail and key character development that would likely have been lost in a one-part adaptation, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is somewhat slow-paced, but overall it serves as a fantastic prelude, building the mood, and setting the stakes for the heroic conclusion to come.
